Assignment 4.1 - Interactive Digital Resource Based Lesson
California State Standards-
Introduction-
For this assignment students will be creating a digital mandala using Adobe Illustrator. This assignment covers a variety of technical skills and procedures learned from previous lessons. Students will use these previously learned skills as well as newly learned techniques and concepts to create a digital mandala representing their culture or a culture of their choice. Students will use either geometric or organic shape along with symbols that display comprehension of specific elements of art and principles of design.

This assignment of designing your own mandala presents a unique opportunity for students to research and learn about their own culture and heritage or of a culture of their choice. cultures have utilized the Mandala design as a specific symbol tied to
religious, historical or traditional values/beliefs.
2) By the end of
the period today you will be able to know the difference between geometric and
organic shapes and apply this knowledge to your own design.
3 )By the end of
the period today you will be able to create an original Mandala design that
reflects symbols that are meaningful/representative of you.
